Founded in 2021, Advocacy for Youth and Vulnerable Development Initiative (AYVDI), formerly known as Literacy Assured Initiative, is a registered youth-led non-governmental organization dedicated to creating opportunities for education, empowerment, and sustainable development.
Since its inception, AYVDI has been at the forefront of tackling barriers to education and uplifting marginalized populations, particularly children and youth, in underserved communities across Nigeria.
Rooted in the belief that education is a fundamental right and a catalyst for societal growth, AYVDI has focused on delivering impactful initiatives that address educational inequality, gender disparity, and social exclusion. The organization’s early efforts centered on providing learning materials, and scholarships to ensure equitable access to quality education for children, impacting over 5,000 since inceptions.
Over time, the organization evolved to include broader advocacy for youth development and vulnerable populations, aligning its work with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
AYVDI has positively impacted thousands of lives, empowering women and girls with skills and opportunities, and creating platforms for youth to lead community transformation. Its innovative programs have engaged educators, parents, policymakers, and communities, fostering partnerships with organizations that promote lasting change.
